About India Star
In 1997, Mohan Singh started India Star Restaurant with the help of his son Parvinder Singh (“Baba”), who moved from India in 1995. They introduced Des Moines to a variety of delicious North India dishes to the delight of many in the area.
In 2001, Parvinder took over India Star as owner. After serving at the Beaver Avenue location for several years, India Star moved to its current location in August 2006.
In 2024, Manpreet Kaur became the owner of India Star and continues the tradition of serving tasty North Indian cuisine.
